| I came across this page containing a lot of useful information about turbos. Often when a thread on turbos come up, there are a bunch of people that don't yet know the basics, so this could help. [ http://www.forcedinductions.com/help.htm ] They even have an air flow chart for our engine. Halfway down the page they talk about turbo sizing, flow charts, etc. The little utility I wrote also might come in handy when figuring out the flow, pressure ratio, and HP. I posted about it in this thread: [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1812322 ] If you want to play with it, here's the utility: [ http://mywebpages.comcast.net/marshall-johnson/Turbo.zip ]
You'll probably notice that the values the utility delivers are less than half than the values on the engine flow chart. Remember that our engine uses 2 turbos, so each one will only flow half of the air. Also remember that the engine flow chart doesn't account for the pressure drop across the intercoolers and intake piping.
